How to cook Azuki beans for beginners

Hello!

This recipe is for beginners like us! It is our first time cook Azuki beans so let’s cook it slowly to avoid burning or over cooking😊

Ingredients:

  • Azuki Beans-100g
  • Beet sugar/ Tensai- 40g
  • Water- All in all 700ml except for the first simmering

Instructions:

  1. Wash the beans with water
  2. In a small pan or pot, put the Azuki and cover with water and put in a stove
  3. Once it simmer, drain to remove the first water
  4. Put it back in a pan and add 700ml of water and cook in a low heat
  5. You need to taste the beans once in a while to check if it’s uncooked or already cooked.
  6. It is important to keep an eye on it and set a timer beside you when cooking to avoid some burning. Stir from time to time too.

Note* You can adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar according to your preference.
